Hi Everyone! Welcome to the new UBC Mining Grad Research Trip blog! Thanks for checking us out. If you didn't already know, the UBC Mining Grad Research Trip is an annual tradition that has taken UBC students all across the worlds. Our students have been to Chile, Brazil, Spain, Poland, Indonesia, China, and more! As this has proven to be a truly valuable experience for students year after year, we are continuing the tradition this year with the 12th annual trip to South Africa and Botswana. We're getting very excited for our trip in May, and it's only 61 days away! We have a lot of exciting things planned while in South Africa and Botswana, so we'll make sure to post lots of updates along the way. As of now, you can look forward to us visiting the world's richest diamond mine, the world's largest automated mineral processing facility, and of course some of the most beautiful places in Southern Africa.
